Advanced Technology

At Berger Orthodontics, orthodontist Dr. Michael Berger believes in utilizing cutting edge technology that directly benefits his patients. He has chosen technologies that will allow for better planning of a patient’s smile, improved treatment outcomes, or providing great results with shorter treatment times.

iCAT 3-D Imaging

The iCAT 3-D Dental Imaging System delivers crisp 3D and 2D images. Utilizing a 3D imaging system allows for more accurate diagnosis compared to traditional 2D images, while using a fraction of the exposure time of older technologies. The additional information provided by 3D imaging translates into more precise treatment plans.

From one quick scan, the iCAT FLX is capable of creating many images from one scan including: 3D image of jaws and teeth, 2D panoramic image, 2D cephalometric image, TMJ scan, 3D airway analysis.

Dr. Berger can easily share the data with you so that you may visualize and make educated decisions on your dental health. Dr. Berger can also share images with your healthcare and dental team to coordinate multi-disciplinary treatment.

iTero Digital Impressions

Getting an accurate impression is crucial for effective treatment and orthodontic care. The iTero Scanner captures the contours of the tooth and gingival structures, producing a highly accurate digital orthodontic scan in just minutes.

How iTero Works

The iTero handheld wand creates a digital 3-D image of your teeth. The doctor and patient can view this image on a screen in real-time. The need for taking traditional putty impressions is eliminated, and with no physical impressions needing to be shipped to a lab, the digital image is available in the Invisalign Clincheck system the next day. The advantages to both the orthodontist and patient are quite clear – this system affords superior accuracy, increased patient comfort with no invasive putty impressions and goopy aftertaste, and a faster, more accurate diagnosis of your orthodontic treatment needs.
